The goal of Asset Building Network, Inc. is to connect people to resources in their community. We understand that knowledge is power and that education, skills, willingness to change and assistance can motivate people to learn to live healthy and productive lives in any situation they find themselves.
Asset Building Network, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization headed by an Executive Director and governed by a Board of Directors representing a cross-section of the community in Houston and Harris County. Case Management Services is our primary ongoing services to the community. Asset Building Network was founded in January 1999 as a public charitable non-profit organization. It provides social services to meet the needs of children and families of low to moderate income. Asset Building Network’s purpose is to find restorative solutions to problems facing families in crisis and to achieve self-sufficiency.
Asset Building Network’s mission is to build and restore individuals and families to achieve self-sufficiency through the provision of Case Management, Supported Employment, Rehabilitation, and Counseling Services Program. Asset Building Network, Inc. provides Case Management Services including Advocacy, Counseling, Education, Employment / Job Skills Training, Financial Assistance, Information and Referral to community resources.
To find solutions to problems that affect today’s families in areas of crisis, broken families, disaster, divorce, loss of loved ones, substance abuse, and to promote self-sufficiency and wholeness. Clients are connect to resources to assist with rental and utilities assistance.
Description of programs and services provided by agency: We identify the needs of the individuals or families and coordinate referrals or services in the community to meet their needs. Other services we provide to our clients include: temporary housing assistance program for ex-offenders, and information and referral.

Our clients are families living in poverty. We serve general population, with special emphasis on individuals and families living in Southwest Houston. The clients come to us from the United Way information and referral hotline, word of mouth from former clientele, networking with other community agencies, and outreach into the apartment complexes, and health fairs outreach. We conduct intake and assessment on all our clients to determine the eligibility for our services. We listen to our clients, identify their needs, develop recovery plan, and find restorative solutions to their needs.
